We are set in a mature garden at the edge of Ellan Wood, providing easy access for walks through the village, the forest and along the River. Ellan Wood is a large, mixed Scots Pine and Birch woodland. It is home to red squirrels, roe deer, crested tits, crossbills and many other birds, mammals and plants associated with a mature pine wood. The River Dulnain is a major tributary to the River Spey, Britain's premier salmon river, and provides habitat for otters, osprey and herons among many other species, as well as the salmon.
Carrbridge is 7 miles north of Aviemore, 24 miles south of Inverness and within the Cairngorms National Park boundary. The village is an ideal base for walking, golf, cycling and birdwatching as well as the opportunity to explore the Highlands, the Malt Whisky Trail and the many castles and historical and natural sites, all within a short drive. Carrbridge is home to The Landmark Forest Heritage Park offering fun and interest for all ages.
